Georgia’s annual inflation rate slowed to 5.5% in July 2025, its lowest level in four months, down from 5.8% in June. The deceleration was mainly driven by more moderate price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.9% vs. 5.6% in June) and transport (14.2% vs. 16.5%). Price growth also eased for restaurants and hotels (7.9% vs. 8.4%) and for clothing and footwear (1.1% vs. 2.1%), while remaining unchanged for health (4.7%) and education (2.4%).

At the same time, prices continued to fall for furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-2.4% vs. -2.2%) and for communication (-6.3% vs. -6.4%). By contrast, inflation accelerated in housing and utilities (8.3% vs. 7.2%), recreation and culture (1.0% vs. 0.9%), miscellaneous goods and services (7.6% vs. 7.3%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.6% vs. 5.4%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices declined by 0.4% in July, following a 0.1% increase in June, marking the first month-on-month decrease since last December.
